Packers give up 1st round pick to the Jets for a 2nd and 4th round pick...In round 2 they choose Kansas State receiver Jordy Nelson over Cal's Desean Jackson and others...more to follow...  (click on anything underlined for details)
Who?   Well, Jordy was a former quarterback and a walk on defensive back.  He threw (yes threw) several touchdown passes for K-State (see video below), returned kicks (for TDs) and caught passes for many more...click the heading above for his combine video..."AWESOME".

Jordy Nelson's bio

Jordy Nelson highlite video:

Check out the first few catches on this video by Jordy...(turn the volume down..whoever made the video must've tried to attract the Vikings to it by putting a Queen song in the backround...or maybe it's the purple uniforms):

Packer's use 2nd pick to get a QB...
They take Brian Brohm over
Chad (Appalachian State) Henne

Who?  Well, Brohm could've been a top 10 pick in April 2007's draft had he left early and had Louisville gone undefeated and won the National Championship in 2006 (it almost happened..they lost to New Jersey State, er "Rutgers", excuse me, in the last few seconds to ruin the perfect season).  Instead, he stayed in school with the hopes of the Heisman and a National Championship...but their jerk coach leaves for the Atlanta Falcons and the team withered and died.  Did the Atlanta coach pick him?  No.  He's a jerk.  They picked Matt Ryan.  Before the start of this past season, some thought Brohm might be a #1 pick.  You see him interviewed on tv and think, "Oh, another Ty Detmer back-up type...well spoken, smart, looks good wearing a cap and headphones, good extra point holder..." But this guy is 6'3", 230 lbs,...and ran a 4.8 forty in the combine.  Huge differrence.

4th pick... Jermichael Finley of Texas...get this......6'5" 243 lbs...and 4.8 in the forty

5th pick:  Jeremy Thompson

6th pick: Josh Sitton

Sitton bio

7th pick:  Breno Giacomini

Giacomini bio   (whoever wrote the bio I'm sure meant to say John Fogerty of Creedence not John Cafferty..oh well)

8th pick:  Another QB...Matt Flynn WOW...in the 7th round....Matt Flynn!!!

Flynn bio

Flynn's game winning pass against Auburn with 2 seconds left on the clock (hope the cornerback wasn't Lee our 3rd pick)

By the way, Matt Flynn and LSU won the National Title game over Ohio State...4 TD passes in the game...here are the highlites:

9th pick...Brett Swain

Swain bio

Highlites of the 1st half of SDSU vs Jerry Glanville's Portland State...Yes, THAT Jerry Glanville...the Atlanta Falcons coach who said "it would take a plane crash for me to play Brett Favre" so they traded him to the Packers...Wide Receiver Swain (#16) has 5 catches for 188 yards and 3 TDs in the first half...QB Kevin O'Connell (drafted by the Patriots in round 3) had 443 yards passing.

Google took this down..probably Glanville or Portland State made them...very embarassing...
